Christine Blumer is the founder of her own wine consulting company called Winediva Enterprises. She provides wine classes, private tastings, restaurant training, and wine writing for consumers, corporations, and professionals in the wine trade. Most recently, she held the position of Director of Education and Events for Sam's Wine & Spirits.
For seven years, Christine trained their floor staff, taught classes to the public, organized grand in-store tasting events, and linked the world's best wine producers with Chicago restaurants for legendary wine dinners. Ms. Blumer also served as the store's Director of California Wine for more than three years and has traveled extensively in the West Coast wine regions.
She has a background in Chicago restaurants and the service industry as well as Theatre and Art Education, which explains her resilient personality and comfort with public speaking. Christine is a frequent contributor to Wine and Spirits, Chef, and other trade magazines. She continues to teach classes for Sam's, The Calphalon Culinary Center, and other facilities around the city.
